An application has been submitted for permission to replace 2 detached houses at the end of Daneshill Close with 10 houses.
The plans, which were received by the Borough Council in January, can be accessed through the Council’s website via this link (if you have any problems with this link, go to the Reigate & Banstead Borough Council website (link to the right of this page) > Planning Application Search by Application Reference > then enter 09/01103/OUT).
The application is still open for consultation, therefore if you have comments on it please write to the Council or submit comments via the website.
If the application fulfils the relevant planning criteria it will go to the Planning Committee for a final decision – because it involves a number of new dwellings it cannot be approved without coming before the Committee.
However if it does not meet these criteria it can be refused without going before the committee – the local councillors for Redhill West have already raised significant concerns relating to density, overlooking and character relative to the rest of Daneshill Close, and many letters of objection have also been received from local residents.
