If you want to up your game, are new to the sport or just want to give tennis a try, come along to Priory Park for the opportunity to get some professional coaching.
The coaching sessions for both adults and children are being run by Lawn Tennis Association licensed professional coach, Scott Wakefield.
The adult sessions are on Tuesday and Thursdays, starting on Tuesday 8 June 2010, from 10.00am to 11.30am. Each session costs £7 per person per session.
Junior tennis coaching will run on Saturday mornings from Saturday 26 June, with a variety of sessions to cater for different age groups.
For juniors aged five to seven years old, sessions will run from 9.15am to 10.00am at a cost of £5 per session. The session between 10.00am and 11.00am caters for eight to ten year olds and costs £6. For juniors aged 11 years upwards, coaching is from 11.00am to 12.00, also costing £6 per session.
Cllr Adam De Save, Executive Member for Leisure and Wellbeing, said:
“With Wimbledon just starting, this opportunity to improve your game or just to come along and have a go will, I have no doubt, be really popular. All sessions are pay and play so there is no need to book in advance, just turn up and join in. All abilities are welcome.”
All sessions meet at the tennis courts in the park.
For more information call tennis coach Scott Wakefield on 07986 361821 or pick up a leaflet in the Priory Park pavilion.
Cllr De Save added:
“If these sessions prove popular, we are hoping to arrange some school holiday coaching over the summer break. Keep an eye on the Priory Park pages of our website – www.reigate-banstead.gov.uk – for more details.”
