Cannabis factory found in South Earlswood

Officers from East Surrey are investigating a cannabis factory which was found in Horley Road, South Earlswood on Friday 11th June.

Just after 3.30pm a number of police officers arrived at the four-bedroom semi-detached house and uncovered a significant hydroponics factory in operation with cannabis plants, at various stages of growth, being cultivated in each bedroom.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Simon Quinn said:

“Those behind this cannabis factory completely transformed a large semi-detached family house into a full hydroponics set-up producing cannabis plants in various stages of growth.

“The property was rented and the landlord discovered the cannabis plants following an impromptu visit and immediately notified Surrey Police. I would urge members of public who may have suspicions about a cannabis factory operating in their community to come forward. You will not be wasting our time, we will always act upon information we receive and your local knowledge may assist us in our crackdown on cannabis factories and those who profit from peddling illegal drugs.”

The property was rented and officers are making enquiries with the homeowner.

Anyone with information regarding this is urged to contact DC Quinn on 0845 125 2222 quoting reference RB/10/5507 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
