We know that speeding is one of the factors that affects the quality of life in communities within Surrey.

Surrey Police is currently inviting members of the public to work with us to tackle anti-social drivers and help keep Surrey’s roads safer by participating in a Community Speed Watch scheme. We provide full training, all the equipment – including hand held speed detection devices – and ongoing support. Residents can then help to educate motorists regarding speed and raise their awareness of the impact that anti-social driving has on local communities. There are already around 80 such schemes in the county, and they are making a real difference in reducing anti-social driving.

If you are concerned about speeding vehicles in your area and would like to become involved with Community Speed Watch, or if you know of any friends or neighbours who may be interested, please contact your local Casualty Reduction Officer on 0845 125 2222.
